VPI offers citizen control over citizen data

My monthly column in CIO is out, this month taking a brief look at what volunteered personal information (VPI) could mean for citizens. I see good potential for VPI to improve data quality, cut costs, tighten security and provide us all with a better service – if some issues can be successfully addressed as a result of current pilots. Early days, but showing great promise.
